  1. WEEK 23 Date of planning: 19/2/2023 Date of teaching: 23/2/2023 Unit 7:NUMBERS Lesson 1:A-C A. OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Identify some numbers (one,two,three) from the recording and the given pictures;(Cognition) 2. identify the situations for conversations kim and Sue and Bill (setting, participants, topic) 3. Perform the song in interesting ways by using appropriate tone and meaningful gestures;(skill) 4. Show their interests for each other when talking about numbers B. LANGUAGE FOCUS Key terms/ Vocabulary Some numbers: one,two,three Key grammatical structure(s)/ sentence patterns one C. INSTRUCTIONAL RESOURCES - Student’s book, p44 - Situational pictures and activity pictures on page 44 - CD2, Tracks 01,02,03(Activities A,B,C) - Song lyrics printed on page 68. STAGE 3: LEARNING EXPERIENCES/ LEARNING PLAN Activity 1: Warm-up(Greeting & song) - Greet Ss. Remind ss to the previous lesson Play the game “Look and Point”. - Write the words in different areas on the board. - Teacher shows a flashcard. - Students use their fingers to point to the word on the board and say it loudly.Have students say school objects Activity 2:Language in put (Activity A: Listen and point. Repeat. ) - Show pictures onTv, play audio, point to each picture - Have students listen to each new word. - Have ss look at their books, play audio again, and point to each picture in their books. - Play audio again and have students listen and repeat. - Use flashcards and ask ss to read the words aloud *play the games with flashcards - Call some students to read aloud (Give feedback) Activity 3: Language in put (Activity B: Listen and point. – P.44 - Show the situational picture (Activity B on page 44) and ask the following questions to help them identify the situation or the context. 1. Point the whole picture and ask “where is it?” (in the garden) 2. Point to the girls, ask “who are the girls?” (Sue,Kim) 3. Point to the boys, ask “who are the boys?” (Bill) 5. Point to the activity in each picture and ask : What is it? Set the scence : They are talking about their numbers - Play the recording (Track 11), point to the picture while listening. - Play the recording again, ask students to look at the picture in their book, listen and point to the picture. - Have students look, listen and say aloud the sentences - Play the audio again. Have students listen and repeat.And then play audio again. Have students listen, repeat and point. - Point at each word and have students call it out “one,two,three” - Give constructive feedback and correct their pronunciation if necessary.

Activity 4: Practice (Activity C: Sing – P.44) - Show the lyrics on TV - Play the recording and have students listen. - Play the recording again, have students do actions along - Play the recording again, have students listen, sing along, and do the actions. (Give feedback). - Remind Ss to look at the lyrics on page 44 if necessary. Activity 5: Wrap-up & Assignments/ home-link. 1. What have you learnt from the lesson today? Show their responsibility and respect for each other while taking part in activities and positive attitudes, appropriate gestures and intonation when counting B. LANGUAGE FOCUS Key terms/ Vocabulary Key grammatical structure(s)/ sentence patterns C. INSTRUCTIONAL RESOURCES - Student’s book, p45

Count and stand up. • Have students count “one, two, three” in row and ask them to remember their number. • Say a number and have all students with that number stand up. • Repeat the activity in such a way that each student counts a new number. D- Point and count 1. Divide the class into pairs. 2. Demonstrate the activity with a student using numbers “one, two, three” and pointing at the pictures (cat, dog, book .) 3. Have student A point and Student B count. 4. Swap roles and repeat. 5. Check answers as a whole class, then count the objects as a whole class. 6. Have some pairs demonstrate the activity in front of the class. E. - Play the “Board race”. (10’) 1. Have students look at the example. 2. Divide the class into teams and have one student from each team stand a distance from the board. 3. Stick two flashcards on the board and then say one of them. 4. Have the students race to the board, touch that flashcard, and say the correct word. 5. The first student to touch the flashcard and say the word gets a point for their team. 6. Continue with other students. Activity 4: Wrap-up & home-link.
