OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Identify specific information through saying the sentences with the correct stress. 2. Listen and circle a or b. Then say the sentences aloud. 3. Say the chant: Where do you live ? 4. Studious and obedient students and love their hometown and friends. B. LANGUAGE FOCUS - Sentence Patterns: Revision - Vocabulary: Revision C. INSTRUCTIONAL RESOURCES. - Textbook: Tiếng Anh 5, Student’s book page 10. - Track (Unit 20-page 10), - Word cards - A board, a computer and a projector.   2. Warmer: Greeting and playing - Greet the students. - Get the class to play the game “Slap the board". - Tell Ss that they are going to saying the sentences with the correct intonation. Activity 1: Listening practice (Activity 1: Listen and repeat.) - Tell the class that they are going to practice saying question and answer with correct stress. - Ask pupils to look at the book and listen - Play the recording for pupils to listen again and repeat. - Play it again to do choral repetition until they feel confident. - Ask pupils to say the questions and answers in pairs. - Call some pairs to practice in front of class. Other’s pupils to give comments. - Gives comments. - Correct mistakes of pronunciation. Activity 2: full controlled & less controlled Task 1: Listening practice (Listen and circle a or b. Then say the sentences aloud.). - Tell pupils that they are going to listen to the recording and circle a or b - Play the recording for pupils to listen - Ask pupils to listen again and do the task - Play the recording again for pupils to listen and check. - Give feedback. Task 2: Let’s chant. - Tell class that they are going to say the chant: Where do you live? - Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen and follow in their books. - Play the recording again, pausing after each line for pupils to repeat. - Play the recording once more for pupils to repeat the whole chant. - Put the class into three groups to practice chanting: one chants the questions and the other chants the answers - Get them to practice chanting and doing actions in groups - Invite three groups to say the chant and do actions - Give feedback. - Ask the class to listen again and chant Activity 3: Wrap-up & Assignments - Ask students to answer the following questions: 1. What have you learnt from the lesson today?

Activity 1: Reading practice (Activity 1: Read and tick Yes or No.) - Tell pupils that they are going to read the passage and tick Yes or No. - Get them to read the text and underlined the key words. - Ask pupils to read the text again and do the task - Set a time limit for pupils to do the task. - Go around the class and offer help, if necessary. - Ask pupils to compare their answers before checking as a class - Call some pupils to write their answers on the board. - Give feedback and correct mistakes Activity 2: full controlled & less controlled Task 1: Writing practice (Write about your friends.) - Tell pupils that they are going to write about your friends. - Have them work in pairs or groups to discuss their ideas. - Give them time to do the task independently. - Go around offering help, if necessary. - Ask some pupils to read aloud their answers. - Give feedback Task 2: Project - Tell pupils that they are going to draw a house and write its address.
  5. - Ask them to work in groups to discuss and s to compare with their house. - Invite two groups of pupils to talk to the class about the house and write its address.. - Give feedback Task 3: Colour the stars - Have the class read the statements and check their comprehension - Give the time to colour the star and invite a few pupils to read the statement aloud - Give further support to pupils who find it difficult to achieve certain objectives. - Give feedback. Activity 3: Wrap-up & Assignments - Ask students to answer the following questions: 1. What have you learnt from the lesson today? (Practice reading and writing more.) 2. OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Identify the situation for the conversation among Quan and Tom (setting, participants, topics); 2. Ask and answer questions about someone’s Daily routines, using the sentence patterns “ What do you do...? I always/ usually/often/sometimes....”

Questions& answers STAGE 3: LEARNING EXPERIENCES/ LEARNING PLAN Warmer: Greeting and watching - The whole class sing “The wheels on the bus” song Activity 1: Look, listen and repeat - Ask students to look at the four pictures (page 12) and answer questions to identify the situation for the conversation. 1. Who are they? (They are Tom and Quan) 2. Where are they? (in their house) 3. What are they doing?( talking about daily routine.) - Tell students that they are going to listen a conversation among Tom and Quan - Play the recording, ask students to listen and repeat the dialogue - Do choral and individual repetition, pointing to the characters speaking. - Play the recording again for students to listen and repeat. -Elicit the sentence pattern: “What do you do...? I always/ usually/often/sometimes....” and explain the meaning and the use. Activity 2: full Controlled & less controlled Task 1: Point and say - Use pictures to elicit: always, often, usually, sometimes, brush teeth, morning exercise. - Point to the first picture and model the task with one student, using the expressions in the bubbles and the word under the picture. Teacher: “What do you do in the morning? – Student: I always brush my teeth - Ask students to say the phrases chorally and individually. Repeat the same procedure with the rest of the pictures. - Ask students to practice in pairs, using the prompts in the bubbles and the pictures. - Call on some pairs to ask ans answer in front of the class and others give comments.

Task 2: Let’s talk - Ask them to interview 3 or 4 friends: one student asks the question and the other answers with facts about themselves and then exchange the roles. - Monitor the activity and offer help if necessary. - Call on some groups of students to role-play in front of the class. Activity 3: Wrap-up & Assignments - Ask students to answer the following questions: 1. What have you learnt from the lesson today? (Ask and answer questions question about someone’s Daily routines, using the sentence patterns “What do you do...? I always/ usually/often/sometimes....”) 2. What’re the core values of the lesson? show interests for question about someone’s Daily routines by using appropriate gestures and intonation when asking and answering. - Remind students to prepare for the next lesson. Activity 2: Controlled & guided practice Task 1: Reading practice (Activity 2: Read and complete.) - Tell the class that they are going to read the text and fill the gapped paragraph. - Have them read the paragraph.Give the meanings of unfamiliar words if necessary. - Set a time limit for pupils to do the task independently - Ask pupils to read aloud their answers. - Ask other pupils to give feedback. - Give the correct answers. Task 2: Guided practice (Let’s sing “This is the way we do things” song) - Tell ss that they are going to sing ““This is the way we do things” song - Play the recording for ss to listen and sing - Do choral and individual repetition of the song line after line. - Call some ss to sing in front of the class and others give comments. Activity 3: Wrap -up & Assignments - Ask students to answer the following questions: 1.What have you learnt from the lesson today? (Read, listen, and complete, showing the correct words filling the gapped paragraph). 2. What’re the core values of the lesson? (Studious and obedient students and love their friends.). - Prepare for the next lesson. (Unit 2: Lesson 2 P 1,2,3). D.
