Ex: As soon as they come , we’ll have lunch Câu phức với mệnh đề trạng ngữ chỉ thời gian là câu có 2 mệnh đề: một mệnh đề độc lập và một mệnh đề phụ thuộc • Các trạng từ chỉ thời gian +Before: trước khi Ex:You should turn off the lights before you get out of the room. . +As soon as: ngay khi -Ex:I will phone you as soon as I finish my work. +After: Sau khi Ex:After he graduates from his university, he will work for his uncle’s company. + When: Khi Ex: I moved to Hanoi when I was in high school +Until = till : Đến khi Ex::She worked until she finished the project

Was / Were + S + V-ing + ... ? Cách sử dụng 1.1. Diễn tả một hành động hoặc sự việc xảy ra tại một thời điểm xác định trong quá khứ. Ví dụ: At 8 am yesterday, he was going to the hospital. 2.2. Diễn tả hai hay nhiều hành động đang xảy ra đồng thời trong quá khứ. Ví dụ: I was watching TV while he was reading the book. He was playing soccer while we were doing homework. 2.3. Diễn tả một hoạt động đang diễn ra thì bất chợt có hành động khác xen vào. Ví dụ:When she came, I was cooking dinner.

5. Đại từ sở hữu: mine, yours, his, hers , its , ours , theirs EX: Mi is one of my friends.
